The SEVEN CAR CLUB OF NATAL was founded on 20th March 1993,based in what is now known as Kwa Zulu Natal.
MEMBERSHIP: We boast a thriving active paid up membership of approximately 100 members and their families. Any person who owns or who is enthusiastically interested in the preservation, restoration and active use of Lotus, Birkin, Caterham Cars and their subsidiaries, together with acceptable replicas of these cars, is eligible for membership of the club.
PITSTOP: Members and friends meet on the last Thursday of every month at the German/Shamwari Club in Westville, from 17:30 onwards, for a social gathering. A reasonable price menu is arranged together with a bar service. All partners, children and friends are welcome.
CLUB RUNS: A club event is arranged for the first Sunday of every month and usually incorporates a breakfast, or brunch or lunch, a gymkhana or a Combined Car Club event. The event is always published in our monthly magazine, the SeveNews, that is circulated to all paid up members.
MAGAZINE: Our newsletter is produced on a monthly basis and distributed in time to remind members of forthcoming events, together with articles of past events, club news, Club Championship scoring and articles of interest `borrowed’ from other publications.
AFFILIATION: We are affiliated to SAMCA, incorporating the Birkin marque, as well as The Lotus Register of South Africa (based in Gauteng), participating in each others events when possible.
TECHMEETS: Held whenever possible every second month – either at the home of a member who has a car in build and needs some advice, or at a specialists venue. Technical speakers are also invited to present their products. A bring-and-braai is usually arranged so all family members are welcome.
